Today takes us back to the days when kerosene lamps were our primary source of light. Before electricity became widespread, these lamps illuminated our homes, casting a warm, flickering glow. It was a simpler time, with evenings spent under their gentle light, reading or sharing stories with family. The smell of kerosene and the careful maintenance required to keep the lamps burning are memories that evoke a sense of nostalgia for those early, uncomplicated days. As Psalm 119:105 reminds us, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
